THE ROLE

YMCA South Australia is seeking talented and passionate Physiotherapists to join our dynamic Allied Health team, with a focus on delivering exceptional, patient-centred care.

We have part-time and full-time opportunities available for Physiotherapists at three sites: The Purruna Spencer-Newton Centre (located at Scotch College, Torrens Park), Marion Leisure & Fitness Centre, and The Parks Recreation & Sports Centre.

As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments and delivering evidence-based treatments to achieve functional outcomes that meet our clients' health goals.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, industry experience, and a passion for working with people of all ages. Experience in working with the adolescent population (particularly adolescent sporting injuries) is desirable for the physiotherapist role at the Purruna Centre (Scotch College).

The preferred candidate will also have a strong desire to work collaboratively within a vibrant team environment to optimise client and community health outcomes. Proven effectiveness in liaising with referrers, colleagues, stakeholders, clients, and their families to deliver exceptional physiotherapy services and develop health promotion programs is highly valued.

Our clients predominantly present with musculoskeletal conditions, such as sports injuries, orthopaedic, and occupational health conditions, but may include some neurological, cardiovascular, women's health, and paediatric conditions. Duties will include individual assessments and treatment planning based on sound clinical reasoning, follow-up rehabilitation consultations, exercise prescription and progression, patient education, injury prevention, and performance enhancement program delivery.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following essential requirements:

A relevant Tertiary Qualification in Physiotherapy
Registration as a Physiotherapist with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
CPR certification (HLTAID009)
First Aid certification (HLTAID011)
Industry experience (New graduates will be considered based on qualifications and potential)

Highly Desirable Skills and Experience:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following highly desirable skills and experience:

Experience in conducting thorough client assessments and providing evidence-based treatment for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal and sporting injuries (including adolescent musculoskeletal conditions and injuries), orthopaedic, occupational health, and neurological conditions.
Proven effectiveness in communicating effectively with clients and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in clinical case noting and report writing.
Familiarity with electronic client management systems, such as Cliniko, is desirable.
